Laura Dixon
Born: Columbus, Ga. 1956 Mediums: Ink, Clay, Acyrlic, Watercolor. Currently working in Oil. Art is in my DNA, started Drawing at the age of two. Inspired by my Parents, George and Joy Brightwell. Mother was a Portrait Painter and Dad painted Landscapes.
Worked as a Fashion Illustrator, Layout Artist and Graphic Designer while attending Columbus State University. Received a B.A. of Fine Arts and a Teaching Degree.
Taught High School Art for 20 years, retired in 2019 and began my Journey in Oil Painting.
I love to tell a Stories, capturing the Soul and Emotions of my Subjects. Prefer to paint Children and Pets. Paint for the Love of Art, enjoyment and an occasional Commisson. “
